"Until Heaven And Earth Pass Away" Text

Are Heaven and Earth still here? It sounds like a foolish question. In Matthew 5:18, Jesus said "For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter† or one tiny pen stroke‡ shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished." Did you get that? Until Heaven and Earth pass away no part of God's Holy Law will pass away. It is true that some Commandments were not for everyone. But the Lord's Ten Commandments and His Holy Days are for His true followers. I didn't say believers. I said followers. There is a difference. A believer is not always a follower. In John 14:15, Jesus said "If you love me, keep my commandments." In John 14:21, Jesus said "One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.” In Luke 6:46, Jesus said "“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things which I say? " In Matthew 7:21, Jesus said "“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." Jesus got deeper into the Law. He taught the heart of His Law. He wrote the Law. He taught the Law. He lived the Law. I have heard it taught that Paul said we don't need to keep the Commandments. I can give Scripture that shows the opposite. One Scripture would be 1 Corinthians 7:19. It says "Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is keeping God’s commandments." We need to honor the Lord's Holy Days and not man's holidays. I am not saying all man-made holidays are wrong. But look into what the holidays actually represent. Look into the backgrounds. I am not saying if we keep the Commandments perfectly that will save us. We are saved because of what Jesus did. But keeping the Lord's Commandments is right. It is important. We need to be careful what we are taught. Compare all teachings by people to what God's Word says. "Blessed are those who do his commandments,† that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city." (Revelation 22:14)
