"Steps To Salvation" Text

We need to know we cannot save ourselves. We have to realize that. We cannot be saved until we realize that. None of us are perfect. All of us have a sin nature. (Psalm 51:5; Romans 5:12; Isaiah 53:6) Each and every one of us has sinned. (Romans 3:23) Anyone that says they never sin and have never sinned is either a liar or they are deceiving themselves. The first step to salvation is realizing we need to be saved. We need to admit we are sinners. We need a Savior. We need to repent. (Matthew 3:2; Mark 1:15; Luke 3:3; Acts 2:38) We need to change our ways. We need to admit God is Right. His Ways are Right. I am not saying we will not sin again. It is a fight every day to not give into our sinful ways. We will lose some battles. The Bible says if we confess our sins God will forgive us. (1 John 1:9) But we have to be sincere. The Lord knows our hearts. Are we sorry because we do not want punishment? Or are we sorry because we love the Lord and want to please Him? We cannot fool the Lord. Now that we have admitted we sin and need to be saved we need to know Who saves us. We need to accept and confess Yeshua (Jesus) as our Lord and Savior. Salvation is only through Yeshua (Jesus). (John 14:6; Acts 4:12) We have to more than believe in Him. We have to follow Him. We have to do all we can to obey Him. Salvation is a Gift but we have to accept that Gift. The Lord will not make us accept Him. He has given us freewill. We need to turn to God and follow His Ways. His Commands and His Ways are in His Word, the Bible. Following the Lord will not always be easy but right things are rarely easy. Yeshua (Jesus) came to the Earth in the flesh. He lived to show us the way. He died so we can be saved. He rose again exactly three days later proving He is Who He said He is. If you believe this, admit it and confess it. We are not guaranteed even one more second. Why wait to confess Yeshua (Jesus) as your Lord and Savior?
