"Seek The Truth" Text
Do we seek the truth? Or are we comfortable doing things as we always have? Do we assume others are right? Or do we look things up for ourselves? There is an absolute truth. Do we seek to know it? We can find evidence that God is real if we seek with an opened mind. There is evidence that Jesus is God if we search with an open heart. There is evidence that the Bible is true if we take some time to look. The Bible is Truth. But are people teaching the Truth that the Bible teaches? Or are they teaching their wrong interpretations? Or are they teaching based on the wrong interpretations of others? Or are they trying to lead us astray? We can never assume. We have to read the Bible to know what the Bible teaches. There are so many that teach the opposite of what the Bible teaches even though they claim to be believers. There is a difference between a believer and a follower. A follower is always a believer. But a believer is not always a follow. If we are followers of the True God we have to live as He instructs in His Word, the Bible. We will not be perfect while we live in this sinful flesh. God knows our hearts. He will forgive our wrongs if we sincerely repent. If we are truly sorry, let us more than ask His Forgiveness. Let us ask Him to help us not do that (whatever that is) again. This message is not to go into all the wrong teachings I have heard. This message is to stress that we need to seek the Truth. Sometimes the Truth is the opposite of what everyone else is doing. Seek the Truth and stick to your convictions.
