"Let Us Call It What It Is" Text

Let us call it what it is. Sin is sin. There is no pretty way to say it. We cannot gloss over it. All sin is serious. Sin is the transgression of God's Holy Law. (1 John 3:4) Anything we do that goes against the Word of God is sin. Some do not want to talk about sin. But if we do not repent of sin in this life there is no next life. All of us have sinned. We are all guilty of sin. Even if we are followers we still sin because the flesh is strong. We all slip up. But there is a difference in slipping up because we lost the fight to the flesh and living in sin. Losing a battle does not mean losing the war. We lose some battles. We win some battles. It is important to ask the Lord's Forgiveness every time we sin. If we did it intentionally and knowingly I do not know if we can be forgiven. If we knew better but slipped back into it and are honestly sorry then we can be forgiven. (1 John 1:9) The only sin that cannot be forgiven is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 12:31-32, Mark 3:28-30, Luke 12:10) That sin cannot be accidentally done. Let us not sugarcoat sin. Let us repent of it and turn toward God.
