"Jesus Was Crucified And Resurrected" Text

Jesus was crucified. Jesus was resurrected. That is true. But was He crucified on a Friday? Did He rise Sunday morning? The Bible does not say that. Jesus said He would be in the earth three days and three nights. (Matthew 12:40) How do you get three days and three nights from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning? You can't. It does not add up right. People assume that He was crucified on a Friday because the Sabbath is mentioned in John 19:31. Read that Scripture. Actually read it. It says that Sabbath was an high day. That was not the weekly Sabbath. That was not a Friday going into a Saturday. People traditionally celebrate on Friday and Sunday. I started needing to know what I actually celebrated for everything I celebrated. I started looking into things. Tradition is not enough for me. I want to honor the Lord. I learned Jesus was crucified on Nisan 14. He died at 3 p.m. as the Lamb that was slaughtered for us. Jesus was resurrected at 3 p.m. on Nisan 17. From my little research, that was 3 p.m. Wednesday until 3 p.m. Saturday. This year, the crucifixion falls on April 1st. The resurrection falls on Saturday April 4th. Jesus was crucified and resurrected. If we want to honor Christ it matters when we honor those days.
