"Going By The Bible" Text

Going by the Bible is not always easy. It often is not easy. It often is hard. We can't do a lot of what others do if we are truly following the Bible. Many will not understand. Again, I say who (or Who) are we trying to please? If we are trying to please people, I guess it is okay to do whatever we want. If we are trying to please the Lord, we need to have a higher standard. We can't go by what we feel or what we want. We have to go by what He says is right and wrong. We may have to give up things. We have to decide how important it is to be right with the Lord that created us. We will continue to fall short but we need to keep trying. Ask for forgiveness when we go against His Ways. Ask Him to help us stop committing the same sins. It won't be easy. But it will be right. If we honestly want to follow the Lord we need to go by His Word, the Bible. I did not say if we believe. I said if we want to follow. Believing is not the same as following. (James 2:19)
