"God Commands Vs What We Do" Text

God commands His followers to honor the seventh day Sabbath. He commands us to honor the seventh day. The seventh day is Saturday. Days in the Bible are sunset til sunset. So actually the Sabbath is Friday sunset until Saturday sunset. God commands the seventh day. Many believers honor Sunday. The Lord never commanded that. Do you know the truth of why Sunday is honored? That is nowhere in the Bible. Tradition says Jesus rose on Sunday. But is that Biblical? Jesus rose on the third day just as He said He would. God commands His followers to honor His Feasts and Festivals. He commands us to honor His Holy Days. Those days include Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of Weeks, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles, and The Eighth Day. Read about them in Leviticus 23. Purim and Hanukkah are not God commanded but they are in the Bible. Many of the holidays believers celebrate do not honor Christ. Do you know the origins of Christmas, Easter, and other holidays? I do not understand why anyone would honor halloween. It is dark. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 says to avoid even the appearance of evil. There is a difference between a believer in the Lord and a follower of the Lord. There is a difference between a God commanded Holy Day or a Biblical holiday and a man-made holiday. Some man-made holidays are okay. I still believe in Thanksgiving, Veterans Day, and days like that. But many days people celebrate are not okay. Many of our traditions are not innocent. I can't tell anyone what to celebrate and not celebrate. I can't tell anyone what to honor and not honor. Each of us has to decide that for ourselves. It may be misunderstood but I want to honor the Lord. I mess up a lot but I try to follow Him. Being a follower is harder than being a believer.
