"Forgiveness" Text
We think about who we need to forgive. It is right to forgive. Do we really want to hold on to all the negativity that unforgiveness carries? How many of us need to forgive ourselves? How often do we dwell on all we do wrong? How often do we rehash all the wrong things we have done? Are we harder on ourselves than on others? Sometimes we need to forgive ourselves. We all have said and done wrong things. Sometimes sinful things. Sometimes just wrong things that aren't sinful. We all have made mistakes. We all have regrets. Maybe we could have handled things better. Maybe we could have done things better. But we can't change things. We can't change things we have said. We can't change things we have done or not done. We can't change all the thoughts we have had. If we know we have hurt someone, we need to ask their forgiveness. Even if we haven't hurt anyone, we need to ask God for forgiveness. Then we need to ask Him to help us forgive ourselves. If the Lord forgives us we need to forgive ourselves. I am still working on that.
