"Do We Follow God Or Man" Text

Do we follow God or do we follow man? We all follow man to some extent. When we follow the traditions of people we are following man. How often do we put the traditions of people above what God says in His Word the Bible? How often do we even look into the traditions of people? What we grew up doing is not a good reason to do or not do things. Everyone else does it or does not do it is not a good reason to do or not do things. If we are followers of the Lord, we need to compare everything to His Word, the Bible. Everything we say, think, watch, listen to, celebrate, and more has to be compared to what the Lord says in His Word. The Bible is full of instructions on what to do and what not to do. Being a Christ follower is a narrow road. He never said it would be easy. We cannot say, think, watch, wear, go, celebrate, and more the way the world does. We cannot do a lot of what they do if we truly follow the Lord. I am not saying all traditions are bad. I am not saying every traditional holiday is wrong. I am saying we need to compare all of it to what the Bible says. Being a true Christ follower takes commitment. Many will not understand. We need to be okay with that.
