"Are We Following The Truth" Text
Do we believe the truth? Or are we deceived by the lies? Are we following the truth? Or are we following the lies? What is truth? There is Absolute Truth. That Truth comes for the True God and His Word, the Bible. There are no contradictions in the Bible. There is only our lack of understanding. Any so-called truth or tradition that goes against what the Bible teaches is wrong. People lie and deceive. The Lord does not. Many are deceived by the lies. Many teach the lies without realizing it. Some mean well but actually teach against what the Bible teaches. We have to read His Word for ourselves. We have to open our minds to the Truth. The One that became known as Jesus is the God of the Old Testament. He was the God that walked with Adam and Eve. He was the God that gave the Ten Commandments. He was the God that came to Abraham. He came more than once before He was born in the flesh as Yeshua (Jesus). Jesus said and showed He was God. We may miss it if we do not understand any of the Old Testament. But those alive knew exactly what He was saying. For an example, look at John 8:58-59. Jacob was renamed Israel. The Jews are only one tribe of Israel. Don't forget about the lost ten tribes of Israel that were scattered. When Jesus lived in the flesh, He did not change even one of the Ten Commandments. He magnified them. Jesus did not obey God's Holy Law so we would not have to. Look up Matthew 5:17-19. There is so much deception and confusion in the world today. The Lord's Day is the seventh day. (Mark 2:27-28) If you want to honor the day Jesus was resurrected, honor Saturday. He was not crucified on Friday and did not resurrect on Sunday. That is not Biblical. That is tradition. Christmas and easter do not honor the Lord. Christ was never in them. The Lord has True Holy Days. They are all listed in Leviticus 23. They are still commanded for all followers of the True God. There are many wrong teachings that actually go against what the Bible teaches. These are just a few. It is serious. Let us pray that the Lord opens our minds to the Truth. If our minds are opened, let us pray that He opens the minds of others. Let us do more than believe in Jesus. Let us follow Him. There is a difference. Followers are believers but believers are not always followers. We can be forgiven if we ask the Lord for His Forgiveness with a sincere heart. We need to ask the Lord's Forgiveness every time we sin against Him.
