Torah: Numbers 13:1-15:41

Numbers 13
Matthew 10
Shaliach means sent one.
Apostle means to be sent.
Moses sent out 12.
Yeshua originally sent out 12.
When Jesus said on this rock I will build My Church He meant on Peter's faith.
An apostle is an agent who has been sent out to perform a task.
When Yeshua sent out His disciples out they became apostles.
"By the same token, one could regard the spies Moses sent to explore the land as his twelve apostles to Canaan."
Matthew 10 lists all twelve names as in Numbers 13.
Not everyone in the wilderness suffered the same doom.
"Two of the spies, Hoshea and Caleb, demonstrated believing and obedient hearts."
God allowed them to survive their generation and enter Canaan with the next generation.
"Joshua carries on the legacy of the patriarchs."
The 9th day of the fifth month (9th day of Av) is a day of mourning.
A lot of bad things happened on that day.
Aramaic was the primary language of the Jews.
His Name would have been Yeshua.
The Bible was transliterated from Hebrew to Greek then to English.
There is no J in Hebrew.
It morphed from Aramaic to Greek to Latin.
Jesus has nothing to do with Zeus.
There is nothing wrong with the Name Jesus.
We call Him Yeshua because that was His Hebrew Name.
That was His Proper Name.
If you're trying to reach Jews we're not trying to fool them.
To make it easier to share the message we're not trying to build a wall.
Saying Yeshua is a more effective way to reach Jews.
Yeshua means salvation.
Jesus is a translation of that Name.
There is Power in the Name of Yeshua.
There is Salvation in the Name of Yeshua.
He is the Son of God.
He is the Divine Man that came to save us from our sins.
There is nothing wrong with saying It in your language.
The reason we say Yeshua is who we are communicating with.
Jesus' real Name is Yeshua.
The Name Yeshua helps people understand Who He is.
English didn't even exist 2000 years ago.
As long as they know Who you are talking about that's the important thing.
Yeshua was not a Sabbath breaker.
He did many things to redeem people.
The Sabbath was huge to Him.
He went to the Synagogue every Sabbath.
Everything Yeshua did they went up against Him.
They tried to discredit Him.
Where in God's Word does it say it is forbidden to heal on the Sabbath?
Nowhere in the Torah does it say you can't heal someone.
The question is what is work?
Jesus honored the true meaning of the Sabbath.
He wasn't working.
He was redeeming people.
It is permissible to do good on the Sabbath.
Every hospital in Israel is open 24/7 today.
Yeshua breaking the Sabbath is ridiculous.
Healing someone is a necessary exception to the Sabbath rest.
Matthew 15:3,6
There is nothing wrong with tradition.
You have to understand God's Commandment and man's tradition.
You have to understand the difference between tradition and doing a mitzvah.
He said He is the Lord of the Sabbath.
Yeshua is the Sabbath.
God can't deny Himself.
If He is the Sabbath He cannot break the Sabbath because then He woukd be denying Himself.
Numbers 28
Service is not labor.
God created things then He ceased.
On the Sabbath, we don't create things.
Yeshua was serving people.
Zechariah 8:22-23
The tzitzits represent the Commandments.
Israel's flag is blue and white because the tzitzits are blue and white.
Numbers 15
The Torah forbids cross dressing.
