"How Much Do We Misunderstand" Text
How much do we misunderstand? How much do we misunderstand in life? How much do we misunderstand of the Lord and His Word? Something being the normal does not make it okay. Something being taught by most does not make it right. Something done or not done by a minority does not make it wrong. There is a lot of archeological evidence that supports people, places, and events in the Bible. Prophecy shows the Bible is true. There are reasons to believe the Bible is the Word of God. There are no contradictions in the Bible. There is only our lack of understanding. Many of the teachings of today do not follow what the Bible teaches. Some teach from misunderstanding. Some teach to mislead. We always have to check the Bible to know what teachings are wrong. The Bible is the Ultimate Authority. No one knows everything. We can't assume teachings are correct no matter who teaches them. Always check the Bible. People teach God's Law and His Commandments were done away with. They say we don't have to keep His Commandments. People say Sunday is the Lord's Day. People say honor the days made by people and don't honor the Holy Days the Lord commanded. People say believers go directly to Heaven. People say and teach a lot of wrong things. Hopefully it is not their intention to teach the wrong things. We need to know what the Bible says. If we don't know, we need to look it up. The One that became Yeshua (Jesus) is the God of the Old Testament. No one has ever seen or heard God the Father. Jesus gave the Ten Commandments. The Commandments are for all of His Followers. The penalty was nailed to the cross. The Commandments were not. The Lord said honor His Holy Days. Not the holidays made up by people. I am not saying all holidays made by people are wrong but most are wrong. The Bible says the dead are asleep. Followers will be resurrected when Jesus comes back. He is coming back. I don't know when. I will not claim I do. But I do know we are in the end days. We cannot save ourselves. We can only be saved through Jesus. But we have to more than believe. We have to follow. We have to obey. We have to change our ways. We won't be perfect but we should be getting better. We should hate what God hates. We should keep trying to honor the Lord. Many believe Jesus was crucified on Friday and was resurrected early Sunday. Is that the three days and three nights Jesus gave as a sign that He is Who He said He is? We all misunderstand sometimes. We need to learn the truth. God's Word teaches the Truth.
