“Do You Believe In Miracles” Text
Do you believe in miracles? Believing in miracles means believing in more than we can see. There is more than we can see, taste, touch, feel, and hear. Miracles are not always huge. They are often known only by the person that had the miracle. In 2008, I definitely experienced a miracle. I was in my electric wheelchair. I just entered the crosswalk with the light green toward me. Before I knew what happened, I was hit by a car. I never saw the car or the driver. I saw the street as my wheelchair fell completely over. My home health aide made so much noise that people ran over. I didn’t see them but I heard about them. One of them was an off duty paramedic. Was that a coincidence? I don’t think so. The men pulled me out of the street. The home health aide kept asking me how my legs were. I was focused on my hurting arm. I did not even know my legs were under the car. I was hit by a car in an electric wheelchair. The wheelchair was totaled. The hard control was gone. The only injury I had was a small wound on my right arm and a broken right arm. How do you explain that except a miracle? Even if you say that the wheelchair took the force of the car. That is true. But my left hand was on the control when I was hit full force. My left arm was completely uninjured. There is no other way to explain that. My legs were under the car but men stopped the driver from moving. An off duty paramedic just happened to be there. That was not a coincidence. That was a miracle. The Lord protected me. There were a couple times that I started to fall because my crutch slid away from me. No one was around. There was nothing I could grab. I said ‘God!’ and I was steadied. Miracles are not always huge. Do you believe in miracles? I definitely do. Even if you never experience a miracle, they do happen. God is Awesome even when circumstances are not.
