Sermonette:


"We must not forget our Creator"


We are reminded over and over again to remember our Creator and our relationship with Him.


Psalm 148


David the warrior poet wrote this Psalm for us.


David believed the Word read in the Temple.


David believed and acknowledged the Creator.


We can see what astronomers see with a click on the computer.


The Earth's magnetic field protects us from the rays of the sun.


We can send cameras into the depths of the ocean.


And still we don't believe.


When you ignore the Creator it causes all kinds of problems.


There are warnings that people don't think for themselves.


Programs can help people to a certain extent.


It is easy to see how these programs replace the Creator.


Romans 1:18-


That's what happens when man forgets his Creator and rejects Him.


We must believe and have faith.


God is the Creator of all.


We must not forget our Creator.



In between:


The world does not know the way to peace.


The Bible says the way to peace is to live by the Ways of God.



Sermon:


"Fear our God over men"


We can only imagine how embarrassed Peter was for denying Christ.


God allows certain things.


God forgave Peter.


Later, Peter was bold as a lion.


It isn't just Peter.


There is a lesson from it for us.


We can deny Christ as well.


Acts 3:1-


Acts 23:8


What would be the hope if there was no resurrection?


Those that think we can be saved by any other means are totally wrong.


Who should we listen to?


God or you?


Acts 5


"We ought to obey God rather than men"


It is more significant to us than words in a story.


Most of the mistakes we make is because we fear men rather than God.


People can profess they fear God but many of the mistakes we make is because we fear what people think.


1 Kings 12


It is important that we look at things with the right perspective.


Fear caused Jeroboam to make a very bad decision.


1 Samuel 15


Sometimes people don't understand why God would say such a thing.


Deuteronomy 25:17


Saul made every excuse that he could.


Instead of obeying God, Saul feared the people.


Genesis 3


Adam heeded the voice of his wife.


1 Timothy 2:14


Adam was not deceived.


He knew he was not to eat that fruit.


He put Eve before God.


There are times we are to do something a certain way but we fear people.


People make decisions because the fear upsetting human beings.


They don't fear God.


John 9


His parents said those things because they were concerned about being thrown out of the Synagogue.


People disobey God because they are afraid of losing jobs or being ostracized by people.


People rationalize reasons well.


Who are we going to fear God or a person?


We fear human beings more than the ones that really count.


Who is going to be there in there in the end?


Is it not God?


Hebrews 11


Real faith means we know God exists and will judge us one day.


He is the One that can give us eternal life.


Moses chose to fear God rather than the King.


Exodus 1:15-


The midwives feared God.


There are situations where there is a conflict and decisions have to be made.


God rewarded the midwives because they put Him first.


People fear those that are more powerful than they are.


The only way not to fear those more powerful than us is to fear God.


Most believers are moral because they know they will be judged by God.


Fearing God is a liberating emotion.


We make many decisions because we fear people more that God.


Daniel 3


How many times do we think we would react a certain way but when we are there we don't act as boldly as we think?


Sometimes we think we are going to be a certain way but we're not .


Daniel 6


Daniel did not change his behavior.


2 Kings 5


Acts 17


Acts 19


Are we willing to stand up?


Do we fear God or do we fear man?


There are those that are not delivered in this life.


Hebrews 11:35


Faith means they put God over man.


It is not wrong to fear man.


Romans 13


It is natural to have fear.


Fear is an important emotion that we have.


It is also important to control that fear.


Who do we fear the most?


We must prioritize our fears.


It is wrong to fear man over God.


Psalm 24:21-22


Revelation 21:8


Psalm 27


The choice is yours.
