Akron Living Church of God Sabbath Service Call Notes for April 18th 2026

Sermonette:

"Seek First The Kingdom Of God"

What is the most important person or persons in your life?

While most profess one thing their actions show a different answer.

The pursuit of fun is a powerful tool.

Ecclesiastes 2:3

Many are still looking for the meaning of life.

Most are taught they will go to Heaven or Hell when they die.

According to the Bible, neither are true.

What is most important in your life?

The answer is proclaimed in what you do.

2 Corinthians 11:3-4

Galatians 1

The Good News Jesus proclaimed is not being taught.

Luke 14:42-43

Why is that message rejected today?

Matthew 24:14

Christ's Gospel is not what most people think.

Mark 1:1, 14-15

It is the Gospel of Christ not the Gospel about Christ.

The Gospel He was preaching about is a very real Kingdom.

Luke 19:11

Daniel 7:13-14, 27

Revelation 14:12

Revelation 22:12-14

The Kingdom will be set up on Earth.

Revelation 5:9

He is going to set up a Kingdom on Earth.

Acts 28

Matthew 6:7-9

Many repeat these words without understanding what they are saying.

Do you understand their significance?

It does not matter what you say.

It matters what you do.

Luke 14:26-27

It means love to a lesser degree in comparison.

Matthew 10:33-34

Some people profess to put God first but do they really.

Mathew 6:31-33

Is the Kingdom most important to you?

Sermon:

"A Love Story"

God is love.

All He does is because of love.

The Feasts of God are a love story in seven chapters.

John 15:13

John 1:1

The English language is lacking.

The tense does not convey what it means.

It means He lived before the beginning.

Hebrews 7

That was Jesus Christ Himself.

God the Father and Jesus Christ are eternal.

They had eternal life before the beginning of time.

Before creation, They were eternal.

We can prove.

Believe the Bible.

The first concept of family came from God.

The Word became flesh to rescue us from sin.

That is what Passover means.

He had to become a human being.

He emptied Himself.

He continued to be God.

He was in the flesh.

Exodus 20:12

Leviticus 17

The Word became flesh.

He never stopped being God.

When Moses asked God His Name, He said I Am.

Jesus said before Abraham was I Am.

John 8:58

He was eternal.

He always existed.

They both decided.

He decided to become flesh and to give us life in His Blood.

Isaiah 53:12

He became blood so He could rescue us.

That first Passover was Love.

2 Timothy 3

Before the world was, the Father and the Word decided to give eternal life.

Obey God with trembling and fear but with love you.

He came out of eternity.

He poured His Life.

He risked His eternity.

How we can respond to His Love is the meaning of the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

John 14:15

Corinthians 6

We were bought with a price.

Jesus Christ paid for us.

It is a tremendous show of love.

John 15:10

1 John 5:3

If you want to correspond to His Love to us, keep His Commandments.

Mark 7:20-21

We as the bride have to be undefiled.

We have to take every thought captive to Jesus Christ.

What comes out of a man defiles a man.

If you are faithful in what is little you will be faithful in much.

Every obsession outside of marriage is fornication.

To not forgive someone (even if they don't ask) is to hate them.

We cannot lie.

The Scriptures give us examples.

1 Corinthians 13

During Unleavened Bread we practice taking leaven out of ourselves to show Jesus we love Him.

We don't take Him for granted.

He who endures to the end will be saved.

Passover is the greatest expression of love.

Days of Unleavened Bread is the answer.

The Day of Pentecost is the third chapter of love.

It is the signing of the contract.

Jeremiah 31:32

We get married to Jesus Christ at Pentecost.

At Pentecost we sign the contract.

Galatians 6

We love Christ if we respond to His Love.

On the Day of Pentecost we are officially the Bride of Jesus Christ.

We are given the power to overcome.

We will fail sometimes.

Stir up the Fire of God that is in you.

Now we become one with Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:20

1 Corinthians 15:51

We're being judged now.

He paid for us.

On the Day of Pentecost He becomes a husband to us.

Romans 8

We are begotten by God.

He will gather us before He touches the ground.

Revelation 11:15

Revelation 19

We will rule over the Earth.

Revelation 5:10

We come down with Him.

There is trouble everywhere.

The devil is put in prison for 1000 years.

So Christ and His bride can rule in peace for 1000 years.

That is the meaning of Feast of Tabernacles.

Then comes the Last Great Day.

Christ died for everyone.

God loves all humanity.

He is going to everyone the opportunity.

Revelation 20:12

Jesus is going to open the Books for all humanity.

Everyone will be given a true opportunity.

Isaiah 55

He will rescue people when they are not deceived.

All the Feasts of God are chapters in the love story.
