I know you don't lie but.

GABRIEL

Dad examined me. I don't have any broken bones or anything. I'm all right.

TY

Why don't you hate me?

Kye walks in.

KYE

Hate is not in Gabriel's vocabulary.

Jye and John James walk in.

JYE

Let Gabriel talk to Ty alone.

TY

Don't you hate me?

JOHN JAMES

None of us hate you. We will never hate you. We love you. You are my brother and you always will be.

Jye and John James walk out.

JYE (O.C.)

Come on, Kye.

Kye walks out. Gabriel sits on the bed on Ty's left. He faces Ty.

GABRIEL

I could never hate you.

TY

You keep getting attacked because of me.

GABRIEL

You don't blame the innocent for the guilty.

TY

I'm not innocent.

GABRIEL

You are too hard on yourself. After all you have been through that is to be expected.

Gabriel puts his left hand on Ty's left hand.

GABRIEL

I will always be here for you. Nothing and no one will change that.

TY

You keep getting hurt.

GABRIEL

Stop focusing on that.

TY

It's my fault.

GABRIEL

It is not your fault.

TY

It is.

GABRIEL

The only one that blames you is you. It is not your fault. Please try to remember that.
