I don't want to focus on what I have been through. I want to help others with what they are going through.

Gabriel walks over. Kye looks at him.

I don't understand why you are so sweet.

Jye walks over.

JYE

That's how they are. They are sweet. Don't either of you say you aren't sweet.

KYE

You're both ridiculously sweet.

No one has bigger hearts than you two.

I don't mean the size of the heart organs.

John James walks over.

INT. - CHURCH, SANCTUARY - NEXT DAY, 11 A.M.

Ty is standing facing the cross.

TY

People keep saying I'm too hard on myself.

John James walks in.

JOHN JAMES

You are too hard on yourself.

John James walks to Ty. Ty turns to face him.

JOHN JAMES

You went through horrible abuse from the two people that were supposed to love you the most. Physically you have been away from that abuse for years but emotional wounds take longer to heal. There are adults a lot older than you that still deal with the trauma of childhood abuse. Of all the people that have talked to me none have come close to having been through what you went through.

TY

I have been talking to our father for years.

JOHN JAMES

Healing can take a lot of years. Stop being so hard on yourself. I know that won't be easy for you. They had you so messed up you always apologized when you did nothing wrong. You need to realize things aren't your fault.

Gabriel walks in.

GABRIEL

And you need to realize we love you unconditionally.
